In quell'antro oscuro del mio pensiero

riponevo i miei più intimi segreti

di uomo quasi vissuto.

Poi arrivasti tu in me,

e l'antro oscuro ricevette la luce

che riportò alla vita

il mio segreto pensiero.

In that dark cave of my thought

I put my innermost secrets

as a man almost lived.

and the dark cave received light
