Dall'erto picco

che guarda a valle

dove scorre l'amato fiume,

ancora osservo a me innanzi

il tuo correr ignuda allegra e vociante

fra l'erba alta e fresca, 

cantando frasi che ancor 

mi sorgon vergini

benchè lontane.

From the steep peak

overlooking downstream

where it flows the beloved river,

I look again at me in front

your running naked joyful and shouting

in the tall and fresh grass,

singing phrases that even

arise virgins to me

though they are distant.
