Lenta e pacata va
una barchetta di carta
di colore dipinta,
sull'onda del fiume
che la porta con se.
Leggera e minuta,
fatta di fretta e
con un foglio ormai vecchio
scritto e riscritto.
Essa va di per sè seguendo
il vento e il moto del fiume.
Ove arriverÃ
nessuno lo sa,
ma il fiume sa bene
cosa deve portare
a chi un amore
non sa se lasciare.

Slow and calm goes
a paper boat
color painted,
in the wake of the river
that brings with it.
Lightweight and tiny,
made in a hurry and
with a sheet now old
written and rewritten.
It goes by itself following
the wind and the motion of the river.
where will
nobody know,
but the river knows
what to bring
to who love
does not know whether to leave.
